Make PagPol your preferred source
Google now lets readers flag the outlets they trust. Mark PagPol as a preferred source and our county-by-county coverage — bill trackers, election results, school board watch — shows up more often in your Search results, Top Stories, and Discover feed.

HOW IT WORKS
Three steps, no account setup on our end
Preferred Sources is a Google feature, not a PagPol login. It only affects what Google shows you — it has no effect on your neighbors’ results, and nothing about it is partisan.

You’ll need to be signed in to a Google account. The link carries pagpol.com with it, so there’s nothing to type.
Confirm on Google’s screen
Google opens its own “Add preferred source” screen, pre-filled with PagPol. Confirm the addition there.
Look for the badge
From then on, PagPol stories carry a small “Preferred” marker in your results, and appear more often in your feed.
Prefer to browse first? Search “PagPol” on Google, open any of our stories, and look for the same preferred-source option in the result’s menu.

Our reporting gets more room in the Top Stories carousel for New York State politics and elections.

PagPol pieces surface more often in your Discover feed on Android and in the Google app.
Fine-tune your Discover feed
On mobile, tap the three-dot menu next to any PagPol story in your Discover feed and use Google’s feed controls to ask for more county coverage, more election reporting, or less of a given topic. Your feed adjusts and remembers the request.
Changed your mind?
Preferred sources live on your Google account, not on PagPol’s site — we never see who’s added us. Manage or remove sources anytime from your Google account’s Search settings, the same place you added PagPol.
